What is CBS Ad Labs?
CBS Ad Labs is a new way to access your favorite television programs online. Through CBS Ad Labs you can control your own advertising experience by choosing which ads to watch and when to watch them. You earn credits for each ad that you view and credits are used to access your favorite CBS shows.
How do I watch my shows?
There are many ways you can watch your show. One way is to click on the Earn Credits link on the top of the page. Select an ad, watch the video, and earn a credit. Once you have earned your credits, click on the “Watch Shows” link atop the page. Choose the show or episode you would like to watch and enjoy! Another way to watch your show is to select the episode you would like to watch and we'll walk you through the steps!
What is a credit?
A credit allows you to gain access to your favorite shows. The more credits you earn, the more episodes you’ll be able to view.
How do I earn a credit?
You earn credits by watching ads. Simply click on the thumbnail of an ad that interests you, watch the video, and click Finish to earn your credit.
How do I save credits? Why should I create an account?
Create an account to save your credits. The credits you earn provide access to your favorite CBS shows. They are your credits, so keep ‘em so that you can use them whenever you want!
I watched an ad and I didn’t receive a credit. What happened?
It is possible that the ad timed out. The Finish button must be clicked in order to earn credit for viewing an ad. You may watch the ad again by clicking the Play button. Be sure to click “Finish” after the video completes to earn your credit.
All of the ads are grayed out, what does that mean?
If a thumbnail in your queue is not grayed out, you have the opportunity to earn a credit by viewing the ad. The thumbnail representing an ad will be grayed out after it has been viewed for credit. Be sure to check back after you watch a show to earn more credits.
How many shows will be available? When will new shows be added?
You have the opportunity to watch various recent episodes of:
- CSI
- CSI: Miami
- CSI: New York
- NCIS
- Numb3rs
New content will be added all the time – so come back to see us often!
I unlocked a show, but I don’t have time to watch it right away. Can I watch it later?
Absolutely! After you unlock a show you can watch it as many times as you like for a period of 48 hours. If you would like to watch the show again after 48 hours, you will need to use additional credits.
What are the basic requirements to use CBS Ad Labs?
Our CBS Ad Labs environment requires you to have Flash Player 10 installed on your machine. Additionally, the shows and ads are best viewed via a broadband connection.
I clicked on a banner and the new page didn’t open. What happened?
You may have a pop-up blocker installed on your web browser. Use the following instructions to allow pop-ups for this site only.
